A detailed case study on planning and executing a sunrise photo session in the Carpathians, focused on the dynamics of light and shadow.
The goal was to immortalize the precise moment when the first rays of sunlight hit a mountain peak, creating a dramatic contrast between the valleys still in shadow and the illuminated summits. The main difficulty was the unpredictability of the weather at altitude and the extremely narrow time window.
We used astronomical forecasting apps to plan the exact position of the sun. The equipment included a sturdy tripod for long exposures and graduated neutral density (GND) filters to balance the brightness of the sky with that of the ground. The process involved a night ascent and waiting in the cold, with the camera pre-configured: ISO 100, f/11, exposure bracketing.

View all project detailsA clear and structured process, designed to transform you from an enthusiast into a landscape artist.
We start with the basics of visual art. You learn to understand your camera beyond automatic mode, to master the exposure triangle, and to discover the magic of natural light at different times of the day.
Result: Your first photographs with correct exposure and an awareness of the power of light.
You advance towards the essence of landscape photography. We study composition rules — from the rule of thirds to the use of leading lines — and how to apply them in mountain or field settings.
Result: Images that tell a story, with a balanced frame that draws the eye and conveys emotion.
The final touch that transforms a good photograph into a work of art. We show you our non-destructive editing workflow, adjusting colors and contrast to bring out the hidden beauty of nature.
Result: A coherent portfolio of spectacular landscapes, ready to be shared with the world.
Each step is supported by practical tutorials, case studies with photographs from mountains and forests, and constructive feedback to guide your evolution.
